Since winning the “Young Musicians of the Doelen” competition in the Netherlands in 1996, the Cavatina Duo has captivated audiences with their electrifying performances across North America, Europe and Asia in such major venues and festivals as Ravinia (Chicago), Da Camera Society (Los Angeles), Aix-en-Provence Summer Festival (France), Eem & Veem Festival (Netherlands), International Guitar Festival of Frechen (Germany), the National Concert Hall of Taipei (Taiwan), National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing, China, National Flute convention Gala Concert,USA, among many others. | | | | SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 14 WESTWIND BRASS PRESENTS "THIS LAND IS YOUR LAND" Music across the vast panorama of American culture; emphasizing our spirit and ebullience. The Los Angeles Times and others have acclaimed Westwind Brass for virtuosity, musical integrity, and diverse programming. WWB is in residence at San Diego State University. The ensemble has captured prizes at two international brass competitions and has toured internationally in Japan, Mexico, and across the United States. In addition to a varied and expanding concert schedule, Westwind Brass is dedicated to education, having developed programs and master classes for students of all ages.
